Hi! I'm Lucinda parham, Movement, Nutrition and Integrative Life Coach

In 2008, after deciding to leave physical therapy to be a full time mom to my 2 daughters, I decided I wanted to have a fitness goal as an outlet for my self development. The only one I could think of was to run a 10 mile race that would be happening soon nearby.

Running had never been something I was good at or liked, but it was the only thing I could find that didn’t involve expensive equipment or cold water. A few slogs in, serendipity intervened.

I came upon an article about CrossFit in the paper that would change the trajectory of my life. I devoured the website content, found a gym, and within a year and a half I was coaching.

As I dove in head first, I didn’t realize how that consistent intensity was affecting me. After each injury, I adjusted my mindset, and eventually learned what my true goal was: to live an active, pain-free and joy-filled life. This shift was refreshing to my soul, and resulted in me having more fun and becoming more aware of my body’s needs, which included more active rest and variety.

Since that time, I’ve studied many other methods of fitness, movement and coaching. I widened my toolbox with a nutrition certification through Precision Nutrition and Natural movement certification through Movnat.

My most recent tool acquisition was a certification as an Integrative Life Coach, where I learned to work with the subconscious mind to help people escape the gravitational pull of old thoughts and patterns that keep them from doing what they want to do.

I have curated all of these tools in order to affect the people I coach in a deep and lasting way.

I still coach CrossFit, after 14 years, and enjoy it as a facet of my own movement practice,

which also includes gardening, long slow walks and jogs, unstructured play in the gym, practicing skills

like handstands and juggling, and exploring weird curiosities like Contact Improv.
